Music Scholarships

Beautiful Heart awards scholarships for children and youth under 18 to attend the annual Intermountain Suzuki String Institute. The recipients are passionate about music and expanding their skills and training in their specific music abilities.

There were two scholarship recipients in 2017 (names disclosed for privacy purposes):

• A 12-year-old cellist is in Suzuki Cello book 4. He is the oldest of six children and with this scholarship, he was able to attend the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute (ISSI) for his first time. His family is dedicated to music and has wanted to come to ISSI for many years but have been unable to afford it financially.

• A 17-year old violist in Suzuki Viola book 8. She has come to ISSI before but is the only child of a single mother. Music is a passion and something she would like to make into her career.
